PARK RIDGE, N.J. (AP) - Hertz Corp.'s chairman and CEO, Craig R. Koch, is retiring as of Jan. 1, 2007, due to a family medical issue, a company spokeswoman said.
Koch, who joined the company in 1971, has been chairman of the rental-car company since 2004, and its chief executive officer since 2000.
During his tenure, Koch guided the company through a period of expanded growth overseas, the post-Sept. 11 travel slowdown and a major push toward renting off-airport.
