MILAN, Italy (AP) - Unicredito Italiano SPA's said Thursday its third-quarter earnings rose 32.5 percent under International Financial Reporting Standards, thanks to higher commissions and trading fees.
Italy's largest bank by market capitalization said net profit for the three-month period was 676 million euros ($795 million), up from 510 million euros ($600 million) in the year-earlier period.
Unicredito provided restated results under IFRS and also figures using Italian GAAP guidelines. The bank's performance was consistent with analysts' forecasts.
