DALLAS (AP) - A man accused of fatally shooting a police officer had threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and said if police became involved, he would "take them down," the woman's neighbor said.
Juan Lizcano, 28, was charged with capital murder and aggravated assault and held on $1 million bail.
He was accused of fatally shooting Officer Brian Jackson during a foot chase through alleys and between houses. Jackson, a five-year veteran, was hit once under his right arm, near his protective vest, police said.
