ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Former state Treasurer Robert Vigil pleaded not guilty Monday to additional charges in the government's investigation of an alleged kickback scheme involving Vigil and his predecessor.
Vigil, who resigned last month as legislators were considering whether he should be impeached, was arraigned on four counts of money laundering and one of conspiracy.
The charges filed last week are in addition to 21 counts of extortion filed in September. Vigil, 52, earlier pleaded not guilty to those charges.
