MADRID, Spain (AP) - The Spanish economy continued to grow at a healthy pace during the July-September period, backed by strong domestic demand and rising exports, final data published by the National Statistics Institute, or INE, showed Wednesday.
INE said Spain's gross domestic product expanded by 0.8 percent in the third quarter from the second quarter, in line with the second quarter's growth from the first quarter. The annual growth rate continued its upward trend to 3.5 percent from 3.4 percent in the second quarter.
Employment grew at an annual rate of 3.2 percent, implying annual net job creation of 567,000 full-time posts.
