Tropical Storm Delta Weakens

MIAMI (AP) - Tropical Storm Delta became less organized Friday and weakened in the central Atlantic.

The 25th named storm of the record-breaking hurricane season formed Wednesday and only posed a threat to shipping, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.

At 10 p.m. EST, Delta's top sustained winds were near 60 mph, down from 70 mph Thursday night. The storm was centered about 1,350 miles southwest of the Azores and was moving to the south at near 7 mph.
