MIAMI (AP) - Tropical Storm Delta threatened only shipping interests Saturday as it weakened further in the central Atlantic.
The 25th named storm of the record-breaking Atlantic hurricane season had top sustained winds of 50 mph, down from 60 mph Friday.
At 4 a.m. EST, Delta was centered about 1,320 miles southwest of the Azores Islands and was moving east near 6 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. Tropical storm-force winds extended up to 145 miles from its center.
