OSTRAVA, Czech Republic (AP) - Americans Julia Vlassov and Drew Meekins finished second in the pairs, Meryl Davis and Charlie White were second in the ice dancing, and Austin Kanallakan was the runner-up in the boys' division at the Junior Grand Prix finals on Saturday.
Russia's Valeria Simakova and Anton Tokarev won the pairs with 136.75 points, finishing ahead of six American pairs. Vlassov and Meekins moved up from third after the short program to finish second with 133.31 points. Mariel Miller and Rockne Brubaker were third with 131.47. Of the eight pairs who qualified for the finals, six were from the United States and two from Russia.
Following Friday's in both the compulsory and original dance, Canada's Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir dominated the free dance and took first in ice dancing with 168.47 points. Davis and White rallied in the free dance with the second to climb to the second place overall after a third-place finish Friday. Italy's Anna Cappellini and Luca Lanotte dropped to third place with 159.49 points.
