WASHINGTON (AP) - Off to its best start in 13 years, George Washington is looking to build on its success of last season. So far, the Colonials appear headed in the right direction.
Reserve Maureece Rice scored a career-high 19 points and Mike Hall had 14 points and 12 rebounds, leading No. 19 George Washington past 21st-ranked Maryland 78-70 on Monday night in the BB&T Classic.
Danilo Pinnock also scored 19 points for the Colonials (5-0), who have won four of the last six meetings between the local rivals, including two straight.
