INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Marsh Supermarkets Inc. said Thursday its chief financial officer had resigned following disagreements with other executives about the grocery chain's operations.
John Elbin, who was appointed to the post in July, resigned Wednesday, less than three weeks after he received a $250,000 discretionary bonus.
Shortly after the bonus was awarded, Indianapolis-based Marsh released lackluster quarterly earnings and said it was considering "strategic alternatives," including the possible sale of the chain.
