LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar fell against other major currencies in European trading Monday. Gold continued its rapid ascent.
Gold, at its highest level in a quarter-century, reached $536.00 per troy ounce at the close in London, up from $529.30 late Friday. Traders in Shanghai, China, said they looked for the price to soon top $550.
In Zurich, gold traded at $538.03, up from $529.45.
