 MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - Murray State hired Matt Griffin from Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee-Martin as the school's new head coach Monday.
Tennessee-Martin hadn't won a conference game in six years before Griffin became coach in 2002. The Skyhawks finished the 2005 season with a 6-5 record, and were 4-4 in the OVC.
Griffin replaced Joe Pannunzio, who was fired in November after six seasons at Murray State.
