ALGIERS, Algeria (AP) - Algeria's president, weary and visibly weakened, emerged Saturday from a secretive three-week hospital stay in Paris, assuring Algerians they "have no reason to be worried" about his health.
Clearly struggling to speak, President Abdelaziz Bouteflika addressed Algerians in an interview broadcast on state television hours after leaving Val de Grace military hospital where he was taken for stomach bleeding.
"The people have no reason to be worried," Bouteflika told an interviewer from the den of an unidentified Paris residence.
