COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Columbus Blue Jackets activated defenseman Rostislav Klesla from injured reserve Tuesday, six weeks after he broke his left hand in a fight with St. Louis defenseman Eric Brewer.
The 23-year-old Klesla missed the first 12 games of the season with a stress fracture in his right leg. He returned Nov. 1 and scored a goal in the Blue Jackets' 5-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers.
Klesla, who broke his left hand in the Blue Jackets' 3-1 win over the Blues on Nov. 9, was the first draft pick in franchise history, the fourth overall selection in the 2000 draft. He has 15 goals and 33 assists in 206 career games.
