SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - A federal appeals court Monday dismissed a defamation lawsuit that Gennifer Flowers filed against Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and two former advisers to former President Clinton.
Flowers sued James Carville and George Stephanopoulos in 1999 after they suggested on talk shows that the audiotapes she used to try to prove she and President Clinton had an affair were doctored.
Flowers, a former lounge singer, amended the suit in 2000 to add the former first lady, whom she accused of conspiring to plant false reports that the tapes were doctored.
