Anne Rice Leaving San Diego for Desert

"She had been used to the heat of New Orleans for so many years, and she found La Jolla cold," said Bonnie Adams of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, referring to the San Diego neighborhood.

Rice, 64, is the best selling author of 27 books including "Interview With the Vampire" and, most recently, "Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt."
