GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Taurean Green scored 20 points, including two 3-pointers with the shot clock winding down in the closing minutes, and No. 2 Florida remained unbeaten with a sloppy 75-60 victory over Mississippi State on Wednesday night.
The Gators (15-0, 2-0 Southeastern Conference) broke the school record for consecutive wins and extended the best start in school history. They surpassed the previous mark of 14 straight wins set in 2001-02 and tied the following season.
Florida did it despite a sluggish start and with two players slowed by illness.
