STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - Olympic silver medalist Sileshi Sihine ran the fastest 5,000 meters of the indoor season and Ignisious Gaisah recorded the season's best long jump at the GE Galan meet on Thursday.
Sihine, of Ethiopia, pulled away early and led by half a lap for much of the race, finishing in 13 minutes, 6.72 seconds — nearly 11 seconds ahead of Kenya's Mike Kigen, who clocked 13:17.46.
Gaisah, of Ghana, jumped a personal best 27 feet, 5 1/4 inches in his second try to win the long jump.
