CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - A banking executive accused of fatally stabbing his twin 5-year-old daughters last month was indicted Monday on first-degree murder charges.
The indictment against David Crespi, 45, does not say whether prosecutors will seek the death penalty for the Jan. 20 slayings of Samantha and Tessarra Crespi.
David Crespi, a senior vice president in the audit division of Charlotte-based Wachovia Corp., was alone with the children in the family home when they were killed. He called 911, then surrendered at the scene without resistance, police said.
