SEATTLE (AP) - Backup guard Mateen Cleaves signed a second 10-day contract Tuesday with the Seattle SuperSonics.
He signed his first 10-day deal with Seattle on Jan. 28, less than a month after he was waived by the team. Since rejoining Seattle, Cleaves has played in four games, but was scoreless until Monday night's loss at Charlotte, when he played 15 minutes and scored 1 point.
He was released by Seattle on Jan. 4 after averaging 3.4 points and 1.7 assists in 19 games. He signed with Fayetteville of the NBA Development League on Jan. 21 and had six points and four assists in his one game with the Patriots.
