TURIN, Italy (AP) - Swiss snowboarder Andrea Schuler will appeal against her non-selection for the Winter Olympics at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the International Olympic Committee announced Wednesday.
Schuler claims she should be on the Swiss team because she met her country's selection criteria for the ladies' halfpipe event, the IOC said in a brief statement.
A three-member panel made up of Italy's Prof. Massimo Coccia, American Maidie Oliveau and Germany's Dirk-Reiner Martens will hear the appeal at a behind-closed-doors hearing Thursday, and likely will issue their ruling on Friday.
