NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of Aspen Technology Inc. jumped Wednesday after the maker of software for the oil and gas industries posted core results for the latest quarter that trounced Wall Street's expectations.
In afternoon trading, Aspen shares surged $1.98, or 25 percent, to $9.95 on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
The shares eclipsed the 52-week high of $9.29, set Feb. 6.
