WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) - Two men whose Ohio murder convictions for the deaths of two college students were overturned will be retried, this time in Pennsylvania.
Terrell Yarbrough and Nathan Herring, both 25, were convicted by an Ohio jury in the 1999 killings. The victims had been kidnapped from their apartment in Steubenville, Ohio, but they were shot 12 miles away in Pennsylvania.
The Ohio Supreme Court overturned Yarbrough's murder conviction in 2004, saying he should have faced murder charges in the state where the victims were killed. Another judge threw out Herring's conviction last month based on that ruling.
