TURIN, Italy (AP) - The mood among U.S. bobsledders Wednesday ranged from merry to macabre.
As they made a brief stop in Turin on the way to the mountains at Cesana, veterans showed off scarred shoulders, talked about some of the worst crashes they've seen, and spoke of burning flesh, skin grafts and torn uniforms.
Then there was rookie Olympian Brock Kreitzburg, who twice used the word "awesome" to describe the buildup to the games.
