Allianz Expects Operating Profit in 2005

Wednesday, February 08, 2006 6:00:30 PM

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Insurer Allianz AG said Wednesday it expects to post a 2005 operating profit of approximately 7.6 billion euros ($9 billion), up 11.8 percent from the 6.8 billion euros it recorded in 2004.

The Munich-based company, one of the world's biggest insurers and the fourth-largest financial services group, reiterated the forecast during a meeting of shareholders at its corporate headquarters. Allianz will release its annual report for 2005 in mid-March.
