NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma set one Big 12 women's basketball record and freshman center Courtney Paris established another mark as the ninth-ranked Sooners routed Kansas 86-57 Wednesday night.
Oklahoma (20-4, 10-0) became the first team in conference history to open with 10 league wins. The Sooners were the only previous team to start 9-0, accomplishing the feat in the 1999-2000 season and this season. The Sooners have won by an average of 17.3 points in their 10 conference victories.
Paris had 18 points and 12 rebounds, setting a Big 12 single-season record with her 21st double-double. She eclipsed the previous mark, set by Iowa State's Angie Welle during the 2000-01 season.
