BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU showed off its defense against No. 13 Georgia on Sunday. Seimone Augustus scored 17 points and the third-ranked Lady Tigers held the Lady Bulldogs scoreless for nearly 7 minutes in the second half en route to a 68-61 victory.
Sylvia Fowles added 15 points for LSU (22-1, 10-0 Southeastern Conference), and Erica White, who made eight straight foul shots in the last 2 minutes, had 12 points and 10 assists.
"We take pride in our defense," Augustus said. "Defense wins championships. That's the key and we want to win championships."
