DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - General Motors Corp. has settled on July 17 as the date it will eliminate the third shift at its truck-assembly plant in suburban Moraine.
The automaker announced in November it would scrap the overnight production shift this year, a move that will eliminate about 1,150 of the plant's 4,150 jobs.
GM spokesman Dan Flores said Tuesday that the automaker approved the date based on current market demand.
