COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Limited Brands Inc. said Wednesday that its fourth-quarter earnings jumped 36 percent on the strength of sales at Victoria's Secret and a turnaround performance at its Express brand.
The retailer posted earnings of $519.2 million, or $1.28 per share, compared with $382.5 million, or 87 cents per share, a year ago.
Sales for the quarter increased to $3.5 billion from $3.3 billion a year ago, and sales at stores open more than a year, which indicates a retailer's strength, climbed 3 percent.
