MEXICO CITY (AP) - The Mexican Soccer Federation upheld its one-year suspensions of Salvador Carmona and Aaron Galindo that followed positive tests for steroids, a penalty that will keep the two from playing at the World Cup.
The federation made its unanimous decision on Wednesday in response to a request in January from Cruz Azul to reduce the punishment.
Both players were suspended July 5 after testing positive for norandrosterone, a metabolite of the anabolic steroid nandrolone.
