OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. (AP) - For-profit college company DeVry Inc. announced Friday that co-founder Ronald Taylor is stepping down as CEO to become a senior adviser and will be succeeded by Daniel Hamburger, its president and chief operating officer.
The transition will take place after the company's annual meeting on Nov. 15, DeVry said.
Taylor, who co-founded the Keller Graduate School of Management in 1973 and went on to purchase the DeVry Institute of Technology with co-founder Dennis Keller, had planned to step down and become an adviser under his 2002 employment contract. He also will continue to serve as a director, the company said.
