KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) - Washington's Luke Clausen took the first-day lead in the Bassmaster Classic at Lake Tohopekaliga on Friday, catching fish weighing a total of 29 pounds, 6 ounces.
Preston Clark of Florida was second at 29 pounds, 1 ounce, and won $1,000 for catching the largest bass of the day, a fish that weighed 11 pounds, 10 ounces.
Edwin Evers of Oklahoma was third at 23 pounds, 10 ounces.
