LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was up against other major currencies in European trading Monday. Gold prices fell.
The euro was quoted at $1.2021, down from $1.2037 Friday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.2000.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Friday, included 117.46 Japanese yen, up from 116.34; 1.2979 Swiss francs, up from 1.2975; and 1.1387 Canadian dollars, up from 1.1351.
