LOS ANGELES (AP) - Universal Pictures on Thursday named Marc Shmuger as its new chairman and David Linde as co-chairman, effective immediately.
The two replace Stacey Snider, who left last month to head DreamWorks, the studio recently acquired by Paramount Pictures.
Shmuger has served as vice chairman of Universal Pictures since 2000. He oversaw worldwide theatrical marketing and distribution, corporate partnerships and media relations, among other areas.
