HELENA, Mont. (AP) - State lawmaker Bob Keenan said Tuesday that he will challenge U.S. Sen. Conrad Burns — who has been dogged by questions about ties to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff — in the GOP primary in June.
Keenan said previously that Burns could be vulnerable this year and that he was considering a run. In an e-mail Tuesday to The Associated Press, he said his filing was "in the mail."
He has said Republicans need a "viable option they can be proud of."
