HELENA, Mont. (AP) - State lawmaker Bob Keenan said Tuesday that he will challenge U.S. Sen. Conrad Burns who has been dogged by questions about ties to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff in the GOP primary in June.
Keenan said previously that Burns could be vulnerable this year and that he was considering a run. In an e-mail Tuesday to The Associated Press, he said his filing was "in the mail."
He has said Republicans need a "viable option they can be proud of."
