 DALLAS (AP) - Dirk Nowitzki scored 28 points and the Dallas Mavericks harassed Yao Ming into his worst game in a month in an 88-72 victory over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night.
The Mavericks rebounded from an 11-point loss in New Jersey and a slow start to break the game open in the second quarter. They were hardly challenged again, easily capping a season sweep over a team that took them seven games in the first round of last year's playoffs.
Dallas won for the fourth time in five games to remain no worse than a half-game behind San Antonio for the best record in the Western Conference. The Spurs were at home against Golden State on Tuesday night.
