HAMBURG, Germany (AP) - A temporary jail is being built here specifically to detain hooligans during the World Cup.
The facility in Hamburg, where the United States team is staying, will hold up to 150 prisoners. Cells will be specifically designated for people who have been "temporarily taken into custody" in order to avert violence.
The law will allow them to be held for two weeks in extreme cases, police spokesman Marco Haase said Tuesday.
