NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The Hornets had toured some of the neighborhoods flattened by Hurricane Katrina. They saw people living in tents. If an eight-game losing streak hadn't provided enough motivation to play better against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night, a sense that they had to win at least one game for New Orleans' fans did.
"Guys are leaving here with images they'll never forget for the rest of their lives," said Hornets forward P.J. Brown, whose home in suburban Slidell also was damaged by the storm and still isn't repaired yet. "We just wanted to win this one for the fans."
And finally, they did.
