LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mostly down against other major currencies in late European trading Wednesday. Gold prices rose.
The euro was quoted at $1.2093, up from $1.2084 Tuesday. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.2085.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Tuesday, included 116.77 Japanese yen, down from 117.10; 1.3016 Swiss francs, down from 1.3027; and 1.1659 Canadian dollars, up from 1.1653.
