U.S. Dollar Rises Against Euro

NEW YORK (AP) - The dollar rose against the euro Wednesday amid continuing expectations of higher U.S. interest rates.

The 12-nation euro bought $1.2079 in afternoon New York trading, down from $1.2098 in New York late Tuesday. The British pound slid to $1.7468 from $1.7477.

The dollar fell against the Japanese currency, dropping to 116.85 yen from 117.10 yen.
