CHICAGO (AP) - The U.S. women's team has scheduled international matches against Sweden and Canada for July.
U.S. Soccer said Wednesday that the team will play the Swedes on July 15 in Blaine, Minn., then will face the Canadians on July 30 in Cary, N.C. Both matches will be televised live by ESPN2.
Sweden was the runner-up to Germany at the 2003 World Cup. It is ranked sixth in the world and beat the United States 3-1 in the last meeting between the nations, at the 2004 Algarve Cup. Overall, the Americans are 12-3-5 against the Swedes.
