ATLANTA (AP) - West Virginia's rematch against Texas in the NCAA round of 16 on Thursday gave center Kevin Pittsnogle a chance to review one of the low points of his season.
On Nov. 21, the then-No. 13 Mountaineers were in position to upset the then-No. 2 Longhorns. West Virginia led 40-35 at halftime and 75-72 with 1:30 left.
Then Pittsnogle, held to nine points in the game, missed two free throws in 1-and-1 situations, opening the door for Texas to win 76-75.
