TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - White Sox closer Bobby Jenks had trouble with his control and was roughed up by the Colorado Rockies in the eighth inning of their 5-3 victory over Chicago on Wednesday.
Jenks, throwing his fastball in the high 90s, had not allowed a run in six of his seven spring appearances despite struggling with his location.
"I want strikes," Chicago manager Ozzie Guillen said. "No matter how hard you throw, you are not going to get people out if you are behind hitters. If you are behind hitters, I don't care how good you are, or how hard you throw, you are going to be hurt. I expect him to throw more strikes and attack the strike zone."
