DALLAS (AP) - After one-sided victories over the Chicago Blackhawks in their first three meetings this season, the Dallas Stars didn't figure to get much of a fight. This time the Blackhawks made the Stars sweat.
Brenden Morrow scored in the eighth round of a shootout to give the Stars their 11th victory without a loss in the NHL's new tiebreaker, a 3-2 decision over the Blackhawks on Friday night.
Chicago's Matthew Barnaby and Dallas' Sergei Zubov converted in the first round, but goalies Nikolai Khabibulin of the Blackhawks and Johan Hedberg of the Stars were perfect in the next six rounds.
