PRAGUE, Czech Republic (AP) - South Korea's Hyundai Motors Co. Ltd. said Monday it plans to invest up to 1 billion euros ($1.2 billion) in a manufacturing plant in the eastern Czech Republic.
According to the company's senior Vice President In-Seo Kim, the investment will create 3,000 new jobs plus some 10,000 additional jobs in supply and service companies.
The deal still needs approval by Hyundai's board of directors and by the Czech government. The approvals are expected by mid-May, Czech Trade and Industry Minister Milan Urban said.
