PARIS (AP) - France's Suez SA said Monday it has filed a complaint with European regulators against Enel SPA, the Italian power company that has said it is considering a bid for the Paris-based energy, waste and water utility.
Only days after Enel signalled its interest in Suez last month, a government-backed plan was announced under which state-controlled Gaz de France SA would acquire Suez.
In a statement, Suez said Monday it had complained to the European Commission about measures in force that protect Enel against takeover.
