PARIS (AP) - Alcatel SA's board will meet Thursday to review the company's merger talks with U.S. rival Lucent Technologies Inc., the French telecom equipment maker said Monday.
Alcatel board members will be briefed on the "ongoing discussions" with Lucent at the meeting, company spokesman Mark Burnworth said.
"There won't necessarily be any conclusions," he said, declining further comment.
