TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - These young lobbyists got just what they wanted from lawmakers — though their inexperience showed a bit along the way.
A group of high schoolers persuaded a state House committee Tuesday to approve a bill that would require an eye exam each time a driver's license is renewed.
The students researched, wrote and lobbied for the measure as part of a social studies program in the Tampa area.
