MILWAUKEE (AP) - Charlie Bell says Bucks coach Terry Stotts didn't know much about him at the start of the season. But Milwaukee didn't give up on Bell like Phoenix did, and Tuesday night he showed the Suns that the Bucks could match their fast-paced style.
Bell, who played his first five NBA games with the Suns in 2001, had career highs of 19 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds for his first career triple-double, and the Bucks hit a franchise-record 18 3-pointers in a 132-110 victory.
"I talked to coach at the beginning of the season, he was telling me when he seen my name that he didn't know much about me and thought I was going to be a good practice player," said Bell, who started his third straight game for the injured T.J. Ford. "I've come a long way."
