CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Pat Gillick can't resist a challenge.
Gillick has built a winner everywhere he's been. His impressive resume as a general manager includes two World Series titles, seven division championships and nine playoff appearances with three teams.
But at 68, Gillick wasn't ready to retire. After spending the last two seasons in a low-intensity job as a special consultant to the GM in Seattle, Gillick wanted another shot at winning it all.
